I'v had once growing up my patio trellis to the overhang for over 8 years. I've never deadheaded it but I have cut it back on occasion when it takes over other plants in that garden.
Do you deadhead clematis?
I have never heard of deadheading a clematis but I do know that whenever you deadhead a flowering plant it does encourage new blooms to grow.
